15 quarantined people diagnosed with malaria: Health Ministry



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that 15 people living in quarantine centers in Sudurpaschim Province have been diagnosed with malaria.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Saturday, Dr. Bikash Devkota, Spokesperson at the Ministry urged all to take precautions about it

According to him, 14, 731 people are in quarantine till Saturday.

As many as 7,956 people are staying in quarantine in Province-5. Similarly, the least number of 131 people are living in Bagmati Province.

Likewise, Spokesperson Devkota said that 30 infected persons are getting treatment in Koshi District Hospital. Out of them, the maximum is from Udayapur and an infected person from Jhapa and Bhojpur each.

According to the Ministry, 87 people are in isolation centers including three in Kathmandu Valley while 290 are marked in ‘the red zone’.
