State-2 CM instructs secretaries to put all effort to prevent COVID-19

JANAKPURDHAM: Chief Minister of State-2, Lalbabu Raut has directed the secretaries of various ministries under the State-2 Government to put make every effort to tackle COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chief Minister also acquired information regarding the preparations done for prevention and control of coronavirus in the state.

A meeting held today morning also discussed the policies required to be adopted in the coming days, according to Atish Mishra, the Press Coordinator to the Chief Minister.

Officiating Chief Secretary Narayan Dawadi and the secretaries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Social Development, among other state government officials were present in the meeting.

A committee has also been formed for the prevention and coronavirus pandemic in the State-2 led by Social Development Minister Nwal Kishor Sah.

A 50-bed quarantine facility each at Ayurveda Medical College Nagarain and at an unused building of Manipal Teaching Hospital Janakur and a 60-bed quarantine facility at Janaki Medical Teaching Hospital was being constructed in Dhanusha district.

Likewise, quarantine and isolation centers are also being set up in Birgunj, Dhangadhi of Siraha, Saptari and Rautahat districts.
