Death toll mounts to 7 in Delhi clash during Trump’s visit

KATHMANDU: Seven people including a police personnel died and 35 others sustained injuries in a clash between the two groups – one for the Citizenship Bill and the other against it, in the Indian Capital City New Delhi, Indian media reported.

As the clash turned violent, New Delhi metropolis has closed down the Jafrabad, Maujpur-Babarpur, Gokulpuri, Johri Enclave and Shiv Vihar metro stations, citing security.

Meanwhile, Home Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah has called an emergency meeting with Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and representatives of other political parties.

Meanwhile, American President Donald Trump who is on a two-day official visit to India, is  reaching a deal on various issues with India,  said The Times of India.

However, the issues they are sealing the deal on are yet to be revealed.

According to India media, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his US counterpart are meeting at Hyderabad.
