NEPSE index surges 64.70 points to close at 1,847.81 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange index on Wednesday increased by 64.70 points to close at 1,847.81 points.

Likewise, the sensitive index also surged 12.96 points to stand at 362.33 points.

Over 14 million shares of the total 196 companies were traded at more than Rs 5.13 billion.

Of a total of 12 subgroups that were traded, hotel decreased by 1.02 points. Banking surged 40.04 points, trade 179.99, development bank 29.18, hydropower 24.78, finance 15.28, non-life insurance 316.69, production 300.33, others 95.21, microfinance 106.86, life insurance 190.43 and collective investment fund 0.15.
