MORANG: A total of 557 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in Province 1 in the last 24 hours.
According to the Biratnagar-based Ministry of Social Development, the infection was confirmed in 199 women and 358 men on Sunday.
The infection has been confirmed in 250 people in Morang, 124 in Jhapa, 118 in Sunsari, 13 in Udayapur, 6 in Dhankuta, 9 in Sankhuwasabha, 8 in Ilam, 1 in Bhojpur and 28 outside the province.
Coronavirus cases in the province have reached 17,414 with new cases.
Meanwhile, 476 people, including 182 women and 294 men, have been discharged in the province on Sunday.
