Seven coronavirus-infected including four people in Pokhara pass away

KATHMANDU: Seven coronavirus-infected people including four in Pokhara have died in different places of the country.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, four people have died from coronavirus in Pokhara alone.

A 42-year-old man of Pokhara Metropolitan City-1 passed away at Charak Memorial Hospital, Pokhara at 7:45 pm on Saturday. The patient who was hospitalized on October 16 had tested positive for COVID-19 on October 19, said the Health Directorate of Gandaki Pradesh.

Similarly, a 68-year-old man of Pokhara Metropolitan City-22 died in the course of treatment at Gandaki Medical College on Saturday morning.

He had tested positive for the virus on October 22. A 58-year-old man of Pokhara Metropolitan City-31 died in the course of treatment at Intensive Care Unit of Pokhara Academy of Health Science at 4:25 pm on Saturday.

The patient who tested positive for COVID-19 on October 23 was suffering from high blood pressure, pneumonia and diabetes, said the directorate.

Likewise, a 52-year-old coronavirus infected woman of Pokhara Metropolitan City-15 died at 10:20 pm yesterday. She had tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

With this the number of COVID-19 deaths has reached 63 in Gandaki Pradesh.

Nepali Congress leader dies

A coronavirus-infected person has died from coronavirus in Biratnagar of Morang district.

The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Dina Mandal of NC Morang District Member.

Originally from Biratnagar Metropolitan City -8 died in the course of treatment on Saturday evening, informed Ramesh Karki, the chief of Health Division of Biratnagar Metropolitan City.

Similarly, one more coronavirus-infected woman has died from COVID-19 in Dharan. The 62-year-old woman died in the course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences at 3 pm on Saturday, Dr Ashish Shrestha, the deputy spokesperson of the hospital said.

Similarly, a coronavirus-infected person has also died in Dhangadhi. Karna Bahadur Shahi who was working at JV Oil Store, Dipayal died in the course of treatment on Saturday.
