NTC’s FTTH service expansion gains pace in Doti



DOTI: The Nepal Telecommunications (NTC) has been expanding the high-speed fiber to the home internet service in Doti.

With the new service coming into effect first time in the district, the number of internet users has increased, according to Nepal Telecom Dipayal Rajpur.

So far, a total of 432 users including 178 in the district headquarters Silgahdi and 254 in Pipalla and Rajpur Bazaar have installed the FTTH service.

Likewise, the service has been expanded in major cities of Doti.

NTC Dipayal said that the high-quality telephone and high speed internet could be brought into use through a cable under the FTTH service.

Users can also access to television channels through the service.

Telecom Dipayal Rajpur’s Information Officer Prakash Bahadur Chaudhary said that the NTC has provided individual and corporate user packages under the FTTH service.

He said it costs Rs 8,000 per annum for eight MBPS while Rs 12,000 for 20 MBPS under the FTTH service.
