Lalitpur records three additional coronavirus deaths



KATHMANDU: Three more people including two males and one female have died from coronavirus in Lalitpur district.

According to District Health Office, Lalitpur a 70-year-old woman of Lalitpur who was admitted to Megha Hospital on September 22 and 72-year-old man admitted on Thursday succumbed to the virus.

Similarly, a 73-year-old man of Bhaktapur, who was admitted to the hospital, breathed his last in the course of treatment yesterday evening, said the District Health Office, Lalitpur.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 456.

The Ministry of Health and Population has officially announced only 453 deaths so far.

The number of coronavirus cases has reached 69,301 in the country. Currently, 18,437 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation centers.  Meanwhile, 50,411 have returned home after recovery.

As many as 17 people died of coronavirus in Nepal on Thursday itself.
