Lightning kills 1, hurts two in Kanchanpur

KANCHANPUR: A man has died after being struck by lightning in Kanchanpur district.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Lokendra Chand of Belauri municipality-1, Baishakhi.

Critically injured Chand, who was rushed to Nisarga Hospital for treatment, died in the course of treatment, said Police Inspector Rana Bahadur Chand of Area Police Office, Belauri.

According to Chand, 26-year-old Sujan Shahi and Naresh Shahi, 20, sustained injuries in the incident.

Both of them are receiving treatment at Nisarga Hospital.

The lightning struck them while they were playing with their mobiles near Radha Krishna Mandir on Monday evening.
