Valley DAOs mulling to extend prohibitory order for a week

KATHMANDU: District Administration Offices of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are holding a meeting today (Tuesday) to review the current situation of coronavirus cases in the Kathmandu Valley.

The chiefs of district administration offices of the Kathmandu Valley will take a decision following the consultation with the District COVID-19 Management Center and local units of the Kathmandu Valley, said Kathmandu’s CDO Janak Raj Dahal.

The week-long prohibitory order imposed by the district administration offices since last Wednesday is expiring tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Dahal warned people not to come out of their houses on the pretext of morning walk and evening walk.

Municipal Forum has also decided to ban all the services except essential ones until August 31.

The Forum has already recommended extending the prohibitory order for a week.
