NCP will not split, claims Chief Whip Dev Gurung

KATHMANDU: Chief Whip of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dev Prasad Gurung has said that there was no option for the political parties to move ahead with national consensus.

At an interaction program here today, he said that nationality would plunge into crisis if the NCP was divided and ruled out the chances of party split though there were debates and discussions.

“Party should not split. We should not move to the way of party breakaway. Going to that way of division is to go for the collapse of democracy,” Gurung argued.

Also speaking at the program, Nepali Congress central committee member Min Bahadur Bishwakarma urged the government to curb the incidents of flooding, landslides, corona pandemic, violence, rape and acid attacks.

Furthermore, leader of Janata Samajbadi Party Laxman Lal Karna accused the government of failing to carry out relief and rescue operations.-
