Electricity pole catches fire in Durbar Marg, doused



KATHMANDU: The fire that broke in front of Rising Mall in Dubar Marg at 11:30 am on Saturday terrorized the locality for a while when the unmanaged electricity and telephone cable went ablaze in the area.

According to Metropolitan Police Circle Durbar Marg, the preliminary investigation shows that the fire started due to short circuit at a pole in front of Rising Mall.

A house close to the pole has also the damage due to the fire. There are shops including Brikhsya Restro Bar and Chrystal Design for Comfort in the building.

The fire was brought into control by the fire brigades from Juddha Barun Yantra .

The details of the damage are still to come.
