Marsyangdi River partially blocked due to landslide

MANANG: The Marsyangdi River at Nisyang Rural Municipality-4 Humde in the district remains partially blocked by a landslide today.

The river was partially blocked after debris from a heavy landslide fell into the river and blocked it, said a local Raju Gurung.

He added that about 800 meters long road section at the place was also washed away.

According to chief district officer Pushpa Raj Poudel, locals have been alerted as there might be a possible threat to live around as landslide continues with continuous rainfall.

He added that the local villages Chame, Naso, Thoche, and Tal might be affected due to landslide and the roadblock
