9 more COVID-19 positive cases in Kathmandu Valley, one death

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley has witnessed nine more cases of coronavirus on Thursday.

While briefing the reporters about the updated status of COVID-19, Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population shared on Thursday that there have been nine new coronavirus cases in the Valley in the past 24 hours.

According to Spokesperson Gautam, two males and two females of Kathmandu and one male of Lalitpur district tested COVID-19 positive in the test executed in Patan Hospital.

Likewise, three males and one female of Bhaktapur also came out with coronavirus positive results in the swabs tested in Maharajgunj based TU Teaching Hospital.

Spokesperson Gautam added that a male from Mahalaxmi-5, Lalitpur died of coronavirus while undergoing treatment in Patan Hospital on Monday morning.

Nepal’s total coronavirus case tally has reached 11,162 out of which 434 were the ones in the last 24 hours. By now, novel coronavirus has taken the lives of 26 people in Nepal.
