MFD predicts landslides, floods today

KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted torrential downpour in some parts of the country on Thursday.

According to MFD, the weather is generally cloudy in most places of the country and some places of Province 1, 2, 5, Sudurpashchim and Karnali Province are witnessing rain.

The weather will remain cloudy towards the afternoon throughout the country and light to moderate rain is expected in many parts of the country.

Similarly, heavy rain is forecast in many places in Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2, Bagmati Pradesh, Pradesh 5, Gandaki Pradesh and Karnali Pradesh, according to the weather bulletin issued by MFD this morning.

Meanwhile, the MFD has advised people to take precaution as rain might trigger landslides and flash floods in many parts of the country.
