Budget session of Karnali State begins today



BIRENDRANAGAR: The budget session of the Karnali State Assembly begins from today with all safety measures in place.

The State Assembly Secretary has said physical distancing has been ensured inside the meeting hall.

According to the Secretary, there will be no presence of audiences or journalists.

State Assembly members will only be allowed to attend the deliberations throughout the session to prevent the risks of coronavirus infection.

A total of 165 persons, including Chief Minister, Ministers, State Assembly members and staffers have already undergone coronavirus tests and come negative in the test, according to Jiban Budhathoki, Secretary at the State Assembly.

The hall has been properly sanitized and those attending the deliberations are required to use protective gears such as facial masks and sanitizer before registering their attendance.

Journalists will be viewing the session through videoconferencing.

The Speaker will read out the letter received from the Chief Minister to call the budget session.
