Nepal performs over 47,000 COVID-19 tests so far



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that it has performed over 47,000 COVID-19 tests until Friday afternoon.

Speaking at a regular press briefing, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Bikash Devkota shared that 47,496 samples have been tested so far through Polymerase Chain Reaction and Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) methods.

According to him, 3,791 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

No new cases have been found and 93 people have been put in isolation across the country, Dr. Devkota said.

Nepal has reported 48 COVID-19 cases so far. Among them, 10 patients have been discharged already.
