125 who traveled on QR 652 flight from Doha to Kathmandu located



KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has established identification and located addresses of 125 Nepalis who traveled on a Qatar Airways aircraft from Doha to Kathmandu along with a Nepali girl who has tested positive for COVID-19.

The law enforcement agency has directed all of its units to take stock of their health conditions and quarantine them if necessary.

The 19-year-old girl had arrived from France via Qatar transit on QR 652 flight carrying 158 passengers on March 17.

Chief at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Immigration Office Sagar Acharya said that details of all the passengers arriving through QR 650, QR 652 and QR 653 flights have been handed over to police.

Nepal Police Spokesperson Sailesh Thapa said that they are trying to locate addresses of all the passengers after obtaining copies of their passports.

“125 out of 158 passengers have been so far located,” Thapa told BBC Nepali, “Locals units have been fanned out to take stock of their health conditions and quarantine them if necessary.”
