How to safeguard yourself from coronaviruses?



KATHMANDU: With the confirmation about the coronavirus cases in Nepal, now its high time for us to think about the  measures to mitigate the hazards it may cause. Although the measures to bring coronaviruses are underway, doctors suggest taking precautions against the viruses. To protect yourself from coronavirus:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouths with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

If you have symptoms similar to coronavirus patients, you should take steps to help avoid transmitting it to others for it, you can:

  • Isolate yourself at home,
  • Separate yourself from other people in the house,
  • Wear face mask,
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes and
  • Wash your hands.

As a suspected victim you should take yourself to the nearest medical facility possible and narrate your cause of visit.

What is the incubation period of coronavirus?

Although details about the incubation period of coronavirus are still to come most of the estimates mention the incubation period to be 2-5 days.
