Thapa says House dissolution was a revolutionary decision

‘We will garner two-thirds majority in mid-term polls’

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa alias Badal has joined the KP Oli camp following a split in the ruling party.

Addressing a meeting of the Central Committee of his faction in Baluwatar, Badal said that the decision to dissolve the Parliament was a revolutionary decision.

He said that counter-revolutionaries should be avoided to protect the achievements of the revolution.

“Some of our leaders have tried to party away in order to support counter-revolution,” he said, adding that that Prachanda and Madhav Nepal did not listen to his repeated requests not to split the party.

He said that they will garner a two-thirds majority from the mid-term election.

Thapa said that he has supported the main leadership of the NCP after thinking about it thoroughly.
