Hubby strikes wife to death in Panchthar



PANCHTHAR: A man has killed his wife by striking her with an axe in Hilihang rural municipality-5, Subhang in Panchthar district.

According to DSP Dan Bahadur Thapa of District Police Office, Panchthar, Durgamaya, 30, died after her 31-year-old husband Dhan Bahadur Ubharkoti hit her with an axe on Wednesday night.

The incident took place in the middle of the night, according to locals and the security personnel had reached the incident site at 3 am today.

Dhan Bahadur is at large. Police said they are investigating the case and trying to the culprit. According to locals, Dhan Bahadur was inebriated when he came to his house at night. The deceased has two sons.
