Former minister Tamang joins Prachanda-Nepal faction



KATHMANDU: Lawmaker and central member of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Sher Bahadur Tamang has “changed his mind” and joined the Prachanda-Nepal faction by leaving the KP Oli-led group.

Tamang had attended the meeting of the Oli faction on Monday and Tuesday.

He had also attended the Central Committee meeting of the Oli faction convened the next day.

Tamang, elected from Sindhupalchowk Constituency-2, said that since he has changed his mind, he would attend the meeting convened by the Prachanda-Nepal faction on Thursday.

He has also served as a Minister of Law in the Oli-led government.
