Issues in political dossier not related to CJ: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Executive Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has clarified his political proposal tabled at the Secretariat meeting.

Issuing a press note, Prachanda’s Secretariat said that the issues mentioned in the political dossier he presented at the Secretariat for discussion are not related to Chief Justice CJ) or judiciary in specific.

The political report NCP Chairman Prachanda prepared is not intended to hurt the dignity of the judiciary and the CJ, it said.

“Chairman Prachanda has made it clear that it sought only to clarify matters about the Prime Minister’s views regarding the judiciary on the basis of the issue that was talked about outside the party and not on the dignity and prestige of the judiciary, and it has no relation to the independent judiciary and its honorable chief,” the press note reads.

The NCP Secretariat is scheduled to meet on November 28.
