Kathmandu Valley sees 947 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 947 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 692 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 65 in Bhaktapur, and 190 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,790 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 224,078 with fresh cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

A total of 2,791 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 204,858 in the country.

Nepal currently has 17,859 active cases.

Likewise, 627 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 24 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,361, the Ministry confirmed.
