Kathmandu Valley witnesses 1,110 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,110 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 832 persons in Kathmandu, 176 in Lalitpur, 102 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 155,233 as of Saturday afternoon after 2,225 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 13,846 sample tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.

A total of 2,846 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 108,334 in the country.

Nepal currently has 46,057 active cases.

Likewise, 3,322 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

Likewise, 13 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 842, the Ministry confirmed.
