Woman from Kapilvastu succumbs to COVID-19 in Butwal

BUTWAL: Another woman died while undergoing treatment at the COVID Special Hospital in Butwal on Thursday.

Dr. Bishnu Gautam, Information Officer at the hospital, said that a 70-year-old woman from Bangai of Kapilvastu who was on ventilator life support succumbed to the pandemic this evening.

According to Dr. Gautam, 22 people have died at the hospital so far.

Earlier today, two patients had died from the coronavirus in the course of treatment at the hospital.

One among the deceased is from Nawalparasi West and the other from Kapilvastu said the hospital.

Both of them were being treated on a ventilator for the last seven days.

A 49-year-old man of Ramgram municipality-3, Nawalparasi West who was admitted to the hospital, died at 4 am today. He was also suffering from liver and kidney ailments.

Similarly, a 50-year-old man of Buddhabhumi municipality, Kapilvastu also died at 7 am today. He had been admitted to the hospital on September 17.

The patient was also suffering from diabetes and kidney ailments.
