Province 2 records 43 new COVID-19 cases, one death



JANAKPUR: Province 2 recorded 43 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, five people in Dhanusha, two in Mahottari, five in Siraha, five in Bara, 14 in Parsa, two in Sarlahi and 10 in Saptari have contracted the coronavirus.

The number of coronavirus infections in the province has reached 13,151. Of them, 7,213 have been discharged.

Meanwhile, thirty-one people were discharged on Thursday.

A COVID-19 infected person died in Saptari district on Thursday. The Ministry of Social Development has confirmed that a 66-year-old man from Rajbiraj Municipality died due to the coronavirus.

With the death, the coronavirus death toll in the province has reached 124.
