Septuagenarian woman dies from COVID-19 in Birgunj



BIRGUNJ:  A woman has died from coronavirus in the course of treatment in Birgunj Metropolitan City.

District Administration Office, Parsa informed that a 70-year-old woman from Bindabasini rural municipality-3, Itiyahi died at 11:40 am on Sunday.

Tuberculosis-ridden woman had been admitted to Narayani Hospital on August 22 after she complained of respiratory complications.

She had tested positive for COVID-19 after her swab sample report came out positive on the same day.

She was being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Narayani Hospital after ICU beds were full of patients at COVID-19 Hospital.

With this, the number of COVID-19 deaths from COVID-19 has reached 38 in Birgunj.
