Police arrest 13 absconding convicts in Tanahun



TANAHUN: The Tanahun District Police Office has arrested 13 absconding convicts in the last one year.

Police busted 13 persons who were absconding after being convicted in different crimes as of 13 June 2020.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson of the District Police Office, Tanahun Yuwaraj Timilsina, the arrestees have been awarded 14 years four months and four days of jail sentence.

Similarly, police also arrested 14 persons including three in murder crime and 11 in rape case and took them to justice.

Among the registration of 365 cases in the court as of 13 June this year, 222 were settled and 143 cases are yet to be cleared, DSP Timilsina said.
