58 dead bodies of Nepali migrant workers to be disposed abroad



KATHMANDU: The kin have given consent to dispose dead bodies of 58 Nepali migrant workers who died abroad in the line of duty.

The family members and the relatives of the concerned gave consent to perform the rites for them in the foreign land itself due to the difficulty induced by the Coronavirus pandemic, informed the Foreign Employment Promotion Board (FEPB).

According to FEPB, 32 such dead bodies of Nepali migrant workers are in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), seven in Saudi Arabia, two in Malaysia, six in Qatar, one each in Bahrain and Jordan.

Similarly, three dead bodies are in South Korea and six are in other countries. Their family members have given consent to dispose these dead bodies.

The Board has said that 10 Nepali migrant workers have died of COVID-19 so far.

There are still 149 dead bodies of Nepali migrant workeres in the foreign land awiating consent for disposal from their kin.
