NA disposes dead body of COVID-19 infected person in Butwal jungle



RUPANDEHI:  The Nepal Army (NA) personnel has disposed the dead body of a COVID-19 infected person.

The person who was from Purkot of Madane Rural Municipality Ward No 6 from Gulmi district had died while undergong treatment at a hospital of Tilottama in Rupandehi district on Thursday.

The meeting of the Hospital management, Nepal Police, Nepal Army and local people’s representatives took the decision to dispose the dead body in a jungle to the east of Butwal, said the District Administration Office, Gulmi.

The bereaved family members as well as mourners did not attend the final rites of the deceased for the fear of infection.

The deceased was admitted to the hospital on May 14 after complaining of severe fever and headache.
