Help desk set up in Baitadi to prevent coronavirus



BAITADI: A help desk has been established at Jhulaghat of Baitadi for coronavirus test in order to prevent possible infection of coronavirus on the people returning Nepal via the border point.

Jhulaghat is at Nepal-India border point.

Dashrath Municipality, Public Health Office, and District Hospital, Baitadi, jointly established the help desk.

Chief at the Public Health Office, Baitadi, Yogesh Prasad Bhatta, said the help desk was set up for the health test of people entering Nepal via Jhulaghat border point.

All the people returning Nepal from India would undergo a health test at the help desk, it is learned.

Two health workers have been deputed at the help desk, informed Chief of Health section of Dashrath Municipality, Durga Dutta Joshi.
He added creating public awareness about coronavirus infection and the health-test of those returning from India are the main objective of the establishment of the help desk.

An arrangement has been made for an isolation room at the District Hospital, Baitadi if a person is found with high fever with symptoms suspicious of coronavirus.
