The meeting held at the parliament building in New Baneshwor made the decision to this effect.

Prachanda and senor leader Nepal earlier had agreed to appoint Nepal as the chairman and Dahal as the PP leader. Today’s PP meeting will endorse it, according to a source.

A total of 90 lawmakers of the Prachanda-Nepal faction were present in the PP meeting called on Monday. Earlier, in the no confidence motion registered at the parliament, the faction had proposed Prachanda as the future Prime Minister by ousting Oli.

The ruling NCP is on the verge of split after Oli and Prachanda-Nepal factions held parallel central committee meetings yesterday.

Both the factions have claimed the legitimacy of the party. Supreme Court will give the final verdict on this issue.
