Vyas Municipality to conduct census to make policies, programs for next fiscal year



TANAHUN: Vyas Municipality in Tanahun district is set to carry out a census to make policies, programs and plans for the upcoming fiscal year.

Suggestions of the residents of the municipality would be taken into account in making policies, programs and plans, said the municipality mayor Baikuntha Neupane.

Sharecast Initiative Nepal would cooperate with the municipality to carry out the census in this regard. “We are prepared to carry out a census. Suggestions of the residents of the municipality will be our guideline,” he said.

Meanwhile, Manung of Vyas Municipality-5, an area being developed as a tourist destination, will be face lifted with news infrastructure development.

The municipality will have a partnership with the provincial government in this regard, said Mohan Kumar Shrestha, ward chair of the municipality-5.

The provincial government has been urged to set up iron railings on the roadside leading to Manung, construct resting places and bring water lifting project in the area, he said.
