Main accused in Mukesh Chaurasiya murder arrested



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Akhilesh Chaurasiya, the main accused in the murder of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) cadre Mukesh Chaurasiya.

A police squad of District Police Office (DPO), Parsa arrested Akhilesh of Bindabasini rural municipality-3, Itiyahi from Alau Sirsiya in Birgunj Metropolitan City-25.

Mukesh who sustained critical injuries in a clash between two groups of the NCP cadres on October 22 at Bindabasini -5, Prasauni, died in the course of treatment the following day.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking Akhilesh into custody.
