Wild tusker kills 55-yr-old man in Chitwan

CHITWAN: A man has died after being attacked by a wild elephant in Chitwan National Park (CNP) in the district.

A wild elephant trampled a 55-year-old Sanu Kaji Shrestha of Rapti Municipality-1 to death on Sunday night, said Lokendra Adhikari, the assistant conservation officer of the CNP.

Shrestha who entered the CNP without permission was killed by the elephant near Harda Dobhan in the eastern sector of the CNP, said Adhikari.
