NC to distribute active memberships by Dec 15

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has not been able to renew and distribute new active memberships even though it changed the date of general convention for five times already.

If it had initiated the processes as per the original schedule, it would have conducted conclaves from wards to districts level now.

NC has decided to distribute and renew active memberships by December 15.  However, it is not likely that the task would be accomplished by the second week of December as it has not been able to send forms for active memberships to three districts – Saptari, Bara and Sindhupalchowk.

Putting aside the other disputes, the NC leaders have now prioritized the renewal and distribution of active memberships as the deadline of 14th general convention is fast approaching.

As per the schedule, the conclave at the lower level would begin from December 21. Leaders are uncertain whether the general convention will start on the stipulated date. NC has decided to hold its 14th general convention on  February 19-22, 2021.
