Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll hits 829 with 17 new fatalities



KATHMANDU: A total of 17 people died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus death toll has reached 829 as of Friday afternoon with the new deaths.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 153,008 as of Friday afternoon after 4,499 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 16,864 sample tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.

A total of 2,668 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 105, 488in the country.

Nepal currently has 46,691 active cases.

Likewise, 3,590 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

Likewise, 17 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 829, the Ministry confirmed.
