Energy minister directs to ensure regular, reliable and effective electricity



KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barsha Man Pun has directed the Nepal Electricity Authorities to ensure that power supply is regular, reliable and effective during the Bada Dashain festival.

In a meeting today with NEA office bearers and the Energy Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, Minister Pun said he hoped to near no complaints from NEA customers.

On another note, he said that as 9 million students were taking online classes from their home, we should think about the impact on them if power is irregular.

In response, the NEA officials said there was enough stock of electricity hence power cuts were unlikely.
