Province 2 sees 37 new cases, 63 discharged

JANAKPURDHAM: Province 2 witnessed 37 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to Bijaya Jha, the Senior Public Health Administrator Health Directorate of Province 2, the province saw 15 cases each in Saptari and Sarlahi, 6 in Siraha and 1 in Dhanusha district in the last 24 hours.

With this the coronavirus caseload in the province has reached 13,108 till Wednesday.

Similarly the province saw one more COVID-19 induced death on Wednesday making the coronavirus death tally in the province 123.

Majority of coronavirus induced deaths in the province are males. Out of 123 total deaths here, 104 are males and 19 are females.

Parsa witnessed 42, Bara 18, Dhanusha 15, Mahottari 13, Siraha 12, Saptari 11, Rautahat 6 and Sarlahi 5 coronavirus induced deaths till date.

One of the COVID deaths in the province is an Indian national.

The province has currently 5,803 active cases.
