Besisahar-Chame road obstructed



LAMJUNG: The Besisahar-Chame roadway has been obstructed. The road connecting Lamjung and Manang districts has been blocked due to the occurrence of landslide following incessant rain since Tuesday night.

The road has been obstructed at Puwakhola of Besisahar Municipality-7 and Kharkharebhir of the Municipality-6.

The flooded Puwakhola river washed away five to six meters road and the mudslide along with boulders occurred at Kharkharebhir has blocked the road up to about 40 meters at this point, according to Suman Adhikari, sub-engineer of the Dumre-Besisahar-Chame Road Project Office.

Vehicular movement has come to halt due to the obstruction.

The Office said problem has been faced in opening the road section due to the continuous rain.
