One killed in accident



MAKWANPUR: One person died when landslide buried a sports utility vehicle (SUV) on the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani road section at Indrasarovar rural municipality in the district today.

The Scorpio SUV — Ba 17 Pa 4874 — was heading towards Hetauda from Kathmandu when it came under the landslide triggered by incessant rainfall.

The deceased is the driver of the vehicle and his identity could not be immediately established, police said.

Similarly, two persons travelling in a motorcycle have been injured in the same incident.

The motorcycle (Ba 97 Pa 4851) has been partly damaged when it was hit by the landslip.

The injured persons have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
