Detainee, five cops at Maharajgunj Police Circle test coronavirus positive

KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in a detainee at Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj.

According to police, a contact tracing was carried out after the detainee had tested positive for the pandemic virus.

Based on the contract tracing, five police personnel deployed at the police office tested coronavirus positive.

The cops have been admitted to Nepal Police Hospital and the detainee to Nepal Medical College, Jorpati.

Coronavirus cases among security personnel are on a rise across the country of late.
