KASKI: The Nepali Congress (NC) Kaski chapter urged the local administration not to lift the restrictive order against coronavirus pandemic right now as the virus has been already reached the community level.

The party made this call through a press statement today.

The statement issued by party’s district president Krishna KC highlighted the need of further tightening the measures against the virus for the safety of people’s health though people’s life has become tougher due to prohibitory measures.

Accusing the government of becoming irresponsible towards the crisis management, the party warned of grave consequences of the virus.

The party advocates for going with restrictive measures by giving its appropriate alternatives to the people. It also drew the government’s attention towards ensuring better treatment to COVID-19 patients and expanding the capacity of COVID facilities.

Accusing the State government of focusing on increasing the facilities of people’s representatives and local government representatives of indulging in financial irregularities, the party claimed that economic assistance given by several organizations was left unused.

It has sought to use such monetary collection to provide relief assistance to the people and make public the details of such assistance and distribution.

The State and local governments have been further urged to be responsible for problems that people are facing during the crisis.

The NC appealed to all to take preventive measures against the virus and wished for quick recovery of the infected ones and extended heartfelt condolence to the families who have lost their dear and near ones to the coronavirus. RSS
