Sandeep Lamichhane takes two wickets in CPL



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane’s team Jamaica Tallawahs lost to Guyana Amazon Warriors by 14 runs in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Guyana was bowled out for 118 in 19 overs. Chasing the target, Jamaica lost seven wickets in 20 overs and managed to score only 104 runs.

Andre Russell of Jamaica scored 52 runs.

Sandeep Lamichhane bowled brilliantly in last night’s match. He took two wickets for just eight runs in four overs. This is Sandeep’s fourth wicket in the ongoing CPL.

In a match against St Lucia Zouks on August 19, he had claimed a wicket for four overs conceding 23 runs.

Likewise, he had taken a wicket in a match against Trinbago Knight Riders on August 21.

In 2018, he for the first time played for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and for Barbados Tridents. This time, Jamaica Tallawahs hired Sandeep for USD 90,000.
