US President Trump sending Federal agents to more cities

WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump said he is dispatching more Federal law enforcement agents to two additional US cities to crack down on a surge of killings.

Speaking in the White House East Room, Trump said the bloodshed must end, and this bloodshed will end announcing the expansion of what is called “Operation Legend.”

It should be noted that the federal action began some two weeks ago in Kansas City, Missouri, resulting in around 200 arrests, according to U.S. Attorney General William Barr.

This will now expand to Albuquerque in the state of New Mexico, and in Chicago in Illinois.

As many as 200 federal personnel will be sent to Chicago and 35 to Albuquerque.

The violence recorded in Chicago included a gun-battle between gang members wounding 15 people and the shooting of a 3-year-old girl on Tuesday.
