Graft case filed against eight NEA employees



KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against eight employees of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in Special Court for embezzling more than Rs 2 million by manipulating the office software.

A case has been filed against eight persons including the then head of Bardibas Sub-Distribution Center (now Gaushala Distribution Center) Sanjeev Sharma under the Janakpur Regional Office of NEA.

Sharma has been charged with leaving serious mistakes of subordinate employees for general inquiries, failing to communicate information to higher authorities and manipulating data in revenue software among others.

Similarly, a case has been filed against the then employees of the office Arvind Prasad Jaiswal, Bageshwari Kumari Karna, Chandra Bhushan Mahato, Dharmendra Kumar Mahato, Ajit Man Singh, Smita Kattel and Anju Kumari Basnet for misappropriation of revenue through various methods.
