HoR endorses Public Service Commission Bill



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Tuesday endorsed the ‘Public Service Commission Bill, 2076 unanimously.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe tabled the bill on behalf of the Prime Minister.

Responding to lawmakers’ queries raised on the bill, Law Minister Tumbahangphe stated that the bill would ensure fair and transparent recruitment process for civil servants, including in the army and police service.

She also claimed that this will help in ending discrimination in the service.

According to her, it was intended to make the federal civil service healthy, impartial and efficient.
