NIC receives materials for swab collection machine

KATHMANDU: National Innovation Center (NIC) which has been playing an active role in the prevention of coronavirus pandemic in Nepal has received additional materials for making a swab collection machine.

NIC Chairman Mahabir Pun, who is also a social activist, said the raw materials have arrived from Japan.

According to Pun, a 3D printer worth Rs 1.4 million to make needle to extract swabs and other materials had arrived few days earlier via Nepal Airlines.

“Various donors in Japan have donated a lot of materials to NIC. I would like to thank all of them,” Pun said in a Facebook post.

Pun in the message has said that the NIC has been making an appeal to donors to help with required raw materials for making a swab collection machine.
