Coronavirus death toll crosses 474,300 globally

KATHMANDU: More than 9.1 million people have been infected with the coronavirus which has been spreading across the world for the past five and a half months.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, the total number of infection cases has reached 9,187,258 while 474,339 have died worldwide.

Meanwhile, 4,937,282 have recovered from the deadly virus.

Over 120,000 have died and over 2,291,000 people have been infected in America.

Similarly, Brazil has reported over 1,083,000 infection cases while the number of deaths has crossed 50,000.

More than 591,000 have been infected with the coronavirus in Russia and over 8,000 have died.

India is in the fourth position in terms of infection cases with over 440,000 cases. More than 14,000 have died from the virus as of Tuesday morning.

Likewise, Britain has reported over 306,000 infection cases and 42,732 deaths.

Over 137,208 new infection cases have been reported and 3,858 died from the deadly virus in the last 24 hours across the world.
